I did end up going to Gator Stompin'. I figured that if I didn't go this time I'd never go, since I won't be here in the Fall. I also thought that selling my book back would cover the cost. Anyhoo, it was bad. A lot of the places that participated ran out of stuff to give out way too early. I also thought you got a choice of what you can get at each place, but that's not how it works. Overall, it wasn't a good experience. On a positive note, I discovered a band called ColourSlide. They were performing at XS, and they were really, really good! I was so impressed and joined their mailing list. Another plus was seeing The Alliance. They do the song, Tattoo, which is one of the most ignorant songs ever created, but it's great. Even though there were only about 15 or 20 people there, it was good.
I've been trying to contact AOI Media, the company that puts on Gator Stompin' to try to get some reimbursement, but I haven't been able to reach them. This is not over!
