As expected the Gators beat FAU in The Swamp this afternoon. The final score was 59-20, which happens to be the same score as the Tennessee game earlier this season. I expected the game to be high scoring on our part, but I was surprised about how many points we allowed FAU to score. They really took advantage of our weaknesses on defense. Individually, todayu was a big game for Andre Caldwell and Tim Tebow. Bubba Caldwell broke the UF all-time receptions record previously held by Carlos Alvarez, who was in attendance today. Timmy became the only person in NCAA history to run for 20 touchdowns and pass for 20 touchdowns in the same season. But Bubba really lit it up this afternoon. Some of the catches he made were just crazy and saved many of our drives.
Unfortunately, we are no longer in the race for the SEC East title. We needed Georgia to lose, but they beat Kentucky 24-13. We needed Tennessee to lose, but they beat Vanderbilt 25-24. So now the SEC East is between the Vols and the Dawgs. Boooo.
