Lights Out

Ok, so I'm watching NBC's Sunday night coverage of the Cowboys vs. Eagles. It's halftime and Cris Collinsworth, Bob Costas, and Keith Olberman are doing the halftime show, except something is very different. All the lights are off. They are doing the show by candlelight and the light emanating from the studio monitors. This is part of NBC's Green is Universal initiative. NBC is kicking off a whole week of programming that will try to raise awareness for environmental conservation. They said that the power they are saving by keeping the lights off is enough to power an average American home for about a month. That's great, but it looks ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. I appreciate the effort, but there's gotta be a better way. Can't they turn off the lights in some other part of the building?
