Gatorade

Yesterday at the O'Connell Center at the University of Florida there was a dedication ceremony for the birthplace of Gatorade, the most glorious sports drink in the world. For those who may be woefully unaware, Gatorade was invented at the University of Florida by professor, Dr. Robert Cade, pictured above sipping his wonder drink at the ceremony. It's appropriate that the birthplace of Gatorade would be permanently recognized with a plaque since Gatorade has become such an icon in the sports world. Think about it, what would a win be without a Gatorade bath? And of course there's the fact that Gatorade helps to replace electrolytes and prevent dehydration. Pity the schools, like Tennessee and Florida State, who are reduced to drinking Powerade instead of Gatorade. Pshaw! Drink on Gatorade fans, drink on. It it in you?
